Žygimantas Bačkus – a subtle and universal guitarist, knowing a variety of music styles and traditions, from early swing and bebop to funk, fusion, R&B and hip-hop. He started his musical journey at Balys Dvarionas Music School in Vilnius, being tought guitar by Artūras Alšauskas. Later he started taking lessons from a famous Lithuanian jazz guitarist Eugenijus Jonavičius. After graduating from Klaipėda S.Šimkus conservatory, Žygimantas studied in Rotterdam, Netherlands and after coming back to Lithuania, he took the 1st place in the guitar contest “Gitarų Šėlsmas 2017” jazz/classical category. Now Žygimantas is playing with various jazz and pop music ensembles and artists. In summer 2017 he joined CinAmono.
